Your point is what exactly, except that you don't like people who care about the environment?

Fossil fuels harm and sometimes kill. They also pollute at every step along the process. Oh and in case you haven't noticed, they're getting very expensive. I for one wouldn't mind paying less to fill my tank and driving farther on that tank of fuel. It's going to take some research and alternative fuels to get there.
The places you mention that haven't been tapped, haven't been tapped because it was cost prohibitive to tap them before, so now when prices are higher it's profitable, but that won't translate to lower prices at the pump.

What next? You'll claim that higher fuel efficiency standards harm and sometimes kill US jobs so we should keep them low because we're awash in underemployed US workers?
