Contrary to your illusions, electric vehicles are now a very viable means of transportation. It's ignorance like yours that prevents it's adoption.

"it's adoption" would be "its adoption" if it were only an "it" you were discussing, but you're discussing vehicleS, so it would be "their adoption."

(An article should always agree with their antecedent, duh...)
