with all the new laws, such as the internet radio stations having to pay a royalty per listener per song and such, just think if you are driving down the street listening to your favorite cd and someone outside the car hears it. you are a broadcaster at that point and must pay royalties. how about having a friend in the car with you? you must pay to share the music on the cd you bought. same with having a friend over to watch a movie on your dvd player. you will need to get written permission to allow your friend to watch said movie with you. are you listening to a radio station driving down the street with your windows down? well, better make sure you are paying for the retransmission of the radio station.
