Get a life
Spoken like a true, hysterical Linux Disciple.

If you look at the past 20 years, this French company is just repeating micro-history. When a company is in financial trouble, they spend a few weeks looking over patent papers and then sue a big target. Remember the GIF file format? And how about the magically stillborn JPEG 2000? And SCO Unix?

The public adopts a digital standard, and then mis-managed companies try to play "gimme back" (or gimme more") through law suits.

As long as Linux is free, I guess you can rant all you like about commercial patent disputes. But check your own back yard, pal--look what happened to Joomla a month ago with corporate avarice and ensuing stupidity.

When two parties sue, the lawyer gets the meat and the parties get the bones. Don't mistake legal issues with innovation; they're diametrically opposed!
