They are lying

I am a developer. They just want people to pity them. They aren't satisfied with making more than other people. Nor are they satisfied with the whole company giving cudos to them every time they turn around. They want the pity too. As if the company would blow to dust without them. They also pretend to know more. It is all just blackmail and politics. The kind of people who are doing this stuff are very competative. More competative than you are thinking. They don't get along with people because they are too busy trying to make everybody else look bad. You would not believe the lengths they will go to to make somebody else look worse than them. Mess up somebody's code - or accuse somebody of messing with their code. They don't hang out together. You would not believe the lengths they go to to keep women out of the field. Take that male-I'm- better-than-you-are attitude * 10. The reason nothing gets done is because they are busy gloating and competing. Everyone knows it. This is the legacy of computer nerds now-a-days. Interest in creative work - it's not there for them.
