Whoa this is the second post where I agree completely
Amazing but you're completely correct. This is the primary problem with any government even one as benign as our own. Anybody remember the Asset Forfeiture Laws that were only to be applied to two crimes both involved with major drug smuggling/trafficking and money laundering? Pretty soon there were over a 1000 crimes that could cost you your home, car, bank accounts and any other assets you might have. Heck, NY City was invoking asset forfeiture laws for parking tickets and seizing people's vehicles and homes. All in all, giving the government any level of super powers puts us all at risk.
