While I am against this legeslation it is for ....
... totally different reasons. I do not believe it will work any more then the sex offender registry does today. I do however believe in tougher penalties for anyone that abuses a child. It is the governments place to protect society from predators whether they be phedophiles, crack dealers or abusive parents. It is along with public defense one of the primary reasons for government to exist. If a person poses a threat to other members of a society they should be removed from that society. Life in prison is one means. The death penalty is another. Both methods seem quite appropriate for those who prey on the young.
