On the Elite
The elite of this nation have been associated with Yacht Clubs and the Republican Party since prior to Lincoln being elected. I am no longer a Republican and while a member of a Yacht club and a sailing society, I have never really believed the association. Republicans as a whole seam blue collar - actually poor to me. But it was with great pain that I abandoned the party as I was raised Republican.

As to the Yacht Club, we lose 1000 sailors a year in the USA because of this association with the elite. I do not represent the sport on this forum. However, the changes happening in our Federal Government, first happened in cleaning up the Sailing Sport and this was in no small part owing to a Great American - Larry Ellison, who of course is one of ours in the IT industry and works to win back the America's Cup. Larry was a vocal critic of Microsoft but today a big chunk of value in Oracle is owing to Microsoft SQL server.

Now did this not tie things together well? Guiding Light you are a muse.

So as we lay the ground works for a new party in the USA with a platform of an alternate minimum tax on corporations to pay for things like highways and information super highways and why not health care, lets call the party the Progressive Party.

But lets also recognize that there are other forums more appropriate for this kind of discussion. Sailing Anarchy perhaps. 1090 Air America? Progressive Radio.
