Portable battery
It would be really cool if the battery could be easily removed for charging. That would be a major advantage over an electric car, you don't need a plug in the company parking lot to charge up while you're working. 40lbs wouldn't be that bad to lug in to work, especially compared to at least a couple hundred pounds for an electric car's batteries.

Personally I can't wait until they come out with a scooter version.
