Of course there are blind spots
If you don't think so, you've never bothered to figure out where they are. It of course depends on the vehicle shape, the mirrors and to some extent, the size of the driver relative to the seat, but all vehicle's have blind spots.

Some cars are much worse than others. Mirrors cannot give a driver a complete view behind them, and while mini-convex mirrors help, they shrink the view so much it's easy to hide a motorcycle. A large seat back can hinder the passenger-side view for a short driver. Many vehicles have substantial roof supports that block your view - even with side mirrors properly adjusted you can have the 5 and 7 o'clock views obstructed, especially more than one lane away. My convertible's blind spots are terrible when the top is up - the fabric top makes a large rear window impossible.

If you don't know where your vehicle's blind spots are, you're an accident waiting to happen.
