Why shouldn't they feel that way?
Most of them have grown up in a system where the politicians tell them EXACTLY that. You have the "death tax" that essentially has the government steal every single dime upon your death so they can "redistribute" the wealth (and that's exactly the way the politicians designed it).

They get speeches talking about "the rich paying their fair share," when those making more than $80,000 per year pay 80% of the taxes already. They believe it's the "right thing" to take from those who produce, and give to those who don't, and just as soon as there are more of the latter, then either the producers pay through the nose to be left a small portion of what they produce, or "Atlas Shrugs."

Comments like those you take umbrage at don't surprise me one iota, consequently.
