Apple has history of taking what it wants
Fifteen years ago I created a multi-media presentation to pitch a client on using
interactive point of purchase exhibits for their appliances. An Apple rep asked if
he could show it to a potential client and indicated that if Apple made the deal,
the development work would be thrown to me. Apple sold the deal. The work,
based on my develpment, was given to a competitor who was a college buddy of
the Apple rep.

Three months later Apple corporate contacted me because they had created an ad
featuring the screens from my program without my permission. The ad was about
to go to press. I gave my blessing (in a lawyer wrangled contract) with the
condition (as part of that contract) that my company be given credit in the ad for
our work. Apple agreed. When the ad came out, our work was prominently
featured, our name was no where to be found.

While I am a big fan of Apple's products, I trust them as far as I can throw them.
