I thought I was just too stupid...
When I read the part about the judge ordering TorrentSpy to give him their RAM, I laughed out loud. But then I thought, wait, I'm probably just stupid, there must be something I'm missing and the joke is on me. I guess not.

And, yes, that's hilarious. They word it pretty well in the article, too: "The courts have never before ruled that RAM, A COMPUTER'S TEMPORARY MEMORY, is a tangible document that must be produced and turned over to litigants in civil cases." So they want the temporary memory? WTF? I'd be pretty relieved to only have to give over my RAM, instead of my hard drive.
