it never ceases to amaze me how ignorant the legal sector is
I don't know why, but it never ceases to stop me dead my tracks every time I hear a ridiculous statement from a lawyer or judge like "give me your ram". Clueless, absolutely clueless.

When my friends or neighbors pull me over to look at their ailing pcs and they say stuff like "should i buy more ram so i can download more songs" I expect it. No harm, no foul. It's like me asking a mechanic friend if i should "buy more spark plugs to turbo charge my engine"

But from lawyers and more importantly JUDGES? These are the people entrusted with making technical copyright and patent decisions????? un-f-in-believeble.

I agree with the poster that said they should immediately remove the RAM and hand it over. It is NOT tampering with ANYTHING--- it's merely following the bad instructions of a moronic judge who should have consulted with a technical person before making such a ludicrous, and obviously not understood, request.

No wonder copyright and patent law is in the sorry state that it is (aside from the obvious big money corporate shenanigans).

This lawyer is like Don Quixote, poor guy. Not until the current technically adept population starts infiltrating the legal sector do we even have a PRAYER at sensible copyright/patent law. Such a shame really.
