John, we almost agree, but not quite.
Do the laws require change? Certainly, no argument from me. But if you really look at them they have not changed all that much (duration being the exception) rather its the copyright breaking tools that have changed.

I don't think I can agree with you that because better tools became available to the general masses that it changes the intent of the law and the protections it offers owners/creators. What is really needed is some give and take from both groups on both sides of the fence to find an agreeable middle ground.
