OLPC, when it it's finally distributed will be a wintel solution. MS and Intel couldn't stop OLPC with FUD so now they must co-opt it. For Negroponte this is a genuine effort to help children. For Intel this is an atempt to turn around the negative PR they've been getting due to their negative comments about OLPC. For MS this is about preventing widespread distribution of Linux to millions of potential future consumers.

Negroponte should stick with Linux and he will not only be bringing computing to the less fortunate but true software freedom as well.
