Leave them wanting... 3G,800x480,battery life
I wish people would be smart enough to say, "We're not fools. We won't buy a product that intentionally leaves us wanting. Are time spent working for the $600 ($2000) is valuable! I won't be strong-armed into a 2-year contract."

Then maybe apple would not leave us wanting. For instance, the phones are 3G capable now (http://content.zdnet.com/2346-9595_22-93276-8.html). And as soon as the first round of fools is done buying their non-3G phones, Apple will set a software flag in its manufacturing process and magically pump out some 3G capable phones. And then that round of idiots will plop down $700 dollars so they can put on display, during their mass transport to their life-draining employer, that they can afford the iPhone and therefore show their high status in society. And after that round, they will set another flag to pump out 800x600 resolution (having screens all ready of the same size but higher resolution). They should be ashamed in this day and age, of web browsing, to not have a 800x480 resolution screen. A $150 internet tablet from "No-Key-uh" is the same size and has that.

Apple's marketing: jingle keys, get the status-craved ijuts, and leave them wanting. I don't care how much money you make, if you buy an iPhone you're a lackwit.
