Well Done! That was fun!
I've pulled apart stuff since I was a kid. What a hoot it must be to have a job that pays you to do that! It does look as though Apple mfgrd this thing w/ the intention of NOT performing ANY internal maintenance or repairs on it at all. I agree w/ the author. My guess is Apple issues a "refurbished" unit when warranty repair is needed and tosses the failed devices. (Though I wonder how far they'd go to even "refurbish" one of these things.) My advice, if there's ANY way to ensure your iphone, do it. It looks too danged fragile for a lot of us who regularly drop and abuse our cell phones and other portable electronic gadgets. They're not getting my dough. That's for sure.
