AMD won't be able to compete...
with Intel in the plain x86 market any longer. Without some new design such as GP-GPU or something earth shattering, AMD has seen their glory days come and go. Intel has too many resources and took too much of a hit from AMD's Opteron and Athlon64 to let AMD take the lead again.

It seemed Intel had such an easy time taking the lead back while AMD can't get a decent competitor to market.

I hate to see it happen but I think AMD is in for hard, hard, and harder times.
