- Plenty of Americans seeking Microsoft/Google jobs
-
FACT: Microsoft recruits are very few U.S. universities. They do not recruit at nor set up job fair booths at any of the 23 California State University (CSU) campuses, for example. According to BusinessWeek, they received 100,000 resumes from graduating students in 2004.
FACT: Google receives 1300 resumes per day - nearly 500,000 per year. That should be a sufficient pool to find 5000 workers.
If Microsoft cannot fill all its entry-level positions with new grads, why not try to fill them with the many age 40+ U.S. programmers who are being laid off? Several degreed and experienced candidates have applied recently, but Microsoft cannot find them a "good fit." - Posted by: Programmers Guild Posted on: 06/26/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
