Social networking
Social networking is an idea whose time is almost gone. My Space, Facepage and the rest will die of clutter and boredom relatively soon. The truth is very few of us have more than about a dozen people we actually give a hoot about and very few of those are ones we don't see regularly, so who really needs or wants a network of hundreds of people you never interact with in any other way? Nobody! Now if somebody were to come up with a useful way to keep in contact with the few people you do really give a hoot about..... but they would really have to go some to do better than telephone, email and text messaging.
Youtube is essentially 'GarbageDump'. Unless somebody figures out a way to sort through the crap to find something of interest using criteria that would easily come to mind for a casual searcher, 99% of YouTube users will be in the "once in a while when I am really bored and I can't get my games to work" category.
