- MPAA Nothing Has Chaged - Except For Hype.

Although the above article is dated way back. I do not find any change in the technology advancements. I am presently working on an anti piracy solution for the analogue (celluloid) motion picture.
There is no external device or IR/laser/finger printing or other jargons. It is a simple straight forward implementation of an algorithm embedded on to negative of the movie. Effectively the camcorder recordings would be garbled and not viewable or of any commercial value.Piracy cannot happen even in transit.
Yes this is simple and straight forward and a simple approach except that i looked at the problem and solution in a different perspective.
As an one liner "Digital Cinema Encryption can be recorded of the air or any other transport medium on the fly." probably we can discuss this in detail later sometime if need arises.
I am in India. I had tried to speak to MPAA and the other so called organizations who claim to have a feasible solution for thwarting camcorder piracy.
Except for tall claims all have just give a sugar coating to technologies which are obsolete. No offense meant.
The relevance to my talk back to the topic is that i fully agree with the author. But I would like to point out thwarting P2P piracy is possible and disable rippers of copy protected CD DVD.
Funding or a sponsor is difficult in India except there is a lot of lament of loss of revenue as is the case cutting across the globe.
my view is that we created technology and technology is the core for piracy.
If we can think simple and look at the problems faced in a different perspective we are bound to arrive at a solution which would be feasible.
Probably the amount of money invested in anti piracy campaigns if diverted for projects like these the probabilities of arriving at feasible theory of concepts for implementation in the domains involved pertaining to anti piracy is quite bright.
All my posts are data driven. Concise Data available on request.
