- The basic idea is that if someone steals your iPod they now also get your address. Perhaps you haven't herad about the scam where someone lifts a purse, calls the person to generously 'return' the item, and then has someone burglarize your house while you are meeting them. Insert 'iPod' for 'purse' and it should become clear. Then let your imagination wander oer to some other things they might do than to burglarize your house. And yes, they could have gotten the same thing by lifting your wallet, purse, checkbook or something else, but people lose or lend iPods all the time. If it has information which I wasn't told was on it then I have a problem with not being told that it puts me at risk.
