incapable workers with advanced degrees
Yep, it's about cheap, incapable workers, some of whom have advanced degrees...
and hundreds of whom didn't even graduate from high school, according to USCIS
reports on the characteristics of those whose H-1B visa applications were
approved.

We've got brainy people, thankyouverymuch. Since most firms that do business in
Red China over the last several decades have only lost money, why would I want to
export anything there? One of my faves is an interview with the CEO of Maytag,
talking about how they were trying to sell washers and such there for ridiculously
low prices.

I certainly would NOT want to export much of anything remotely high tech to
them. I might export rifles or revolvers and ammunition and copies of US
founding documents, debates, etc., to give the people a chance to revolt. I might
export hacker-ware to let them get through the barriers to free communications
that Google and Yahoo! and M$ and Cisco have helped the dictators there erect,
maybe trade a few tips on how to thwart RFID and CRM, how to keep personal
private information out of government data-bases and how to remove it once it's
there. No, wait. If they keep it up, I might export a few hundred of the fine
miniature power generation units like the ones I helped manufacture for DoE in
the 1980s, special super-express delivery to their government and military bases,
but I tend to prefer lots of small commando units and confidential operatives.
