Tancredo
Lieberman, Pelosi, Lofgren, Hagel, Specter, Kennedy and hundreds of other
congress-critters of both halves of the Demoblican/Repucrat party are all eye-ball
deep in this. The odds are that, regardless of where you live in the USA, your very
own, trusted critter is taking the bri... campaign contributions and voting against
you in the committee meetings, in the back rooms, and on the floor.

And the corrupt executives (business and academe) are willing to make those bri...
because they know that it has been and will continue for some time to make a big
addition to their very own finances while siphoning it away from US citizen science
and tech workers.

If we had free and open markets, they couldn't do this sort of thing. Competition
for the best and brightest workers would prevent it. The inability to artificially
pervert the markets would prevent it. But, since we do not have free and open
markets, since congress does have power to pervert markets, and because
congress and the state legislatures have very carefully built up walls of protection
for incumbents over a period of nearly a century... they can.
