Incorrect facts
Incandescent bulbs do flicker, at a rate of 120 hertz, at only an amplitude of a few lumens. Fluorescent bulbs produced with modern balasts primary excitation frequency pushes the flicker to 20 to 100 kilohertz, which also raises the efficiency of the bulb.

LED's DO NOT REQUIRE a transformer and most medern LED bulbs do not contain a transformer. Well designed LED holiday and rope lighting also DO NOT REQUIRE a transformer. Its all a case of how much a company wants to invest in making a product. Transfomers are EASY just like sticking a peice of wire inside a glass bulb and letting an electrical current heat it hot enough to create light.

Also, transformers do not generate radio interference. The arc discharge of a fluorescent bulb caused the radio interference, and still may on modern bulbs, but LED bulbs generally do not, and specially not because they have a transformer.
