i wouldn't mind changing
if someone would make fluorescents that *do not flicker*. i can perceive the flicker and it causes a nasty migraine (which means i end up with a constant headache of some sort, since the bloody things are everywhere).

if someone would make flourescents that do not also buzz, especially when starting to fail (but even new ones do a bit), which just adds into the fun. The light quality bites, being either too bright, too blue, or too yellow (not natural at all).

if someone would make fluorescents that can work well as dim as 15W-25W, without flickering, or buzzing, or having weird light quality.

Ditto with the upcoming LED lights, though i haven't seen them for lighting use yet. i've seen the ones being used as traffic lights and vehicle running-lights, and i'm dubious. They've got a strange, vibrating quality about them. i don't know if i could live with the whole world doing that due to the illumination.

What will the gov't do for those of us who have an extremely hard time tolerating these lights?

i may end up just relying on hurricane lamps . . .
