Do you have any concept
Do you have any concept of just how many hours of copyright material is in existence? Or would you only require them to monitor for recent material from the "Top 10," "Top 20" or "Top 100" channels?

Recently, Robert X. Cringley reported about YouTube taking down one of his videos, an action initiated by neither himself, nor the copyright owner, but by a third party who represented litigants in a matter touched upon by that video. He considered the use of the material as being well within the standards of fair-use.

What about the all too frequent case where, having been made since 1928 and therefore still being under copyright, the copyright owner has been dissolved? The copyright has probably gone somewhere, but where? The situation is much worse with books than with film, but technically even your grandfather's 8mm home movies and great-grandmother's snapshots are copyright, even when there was no registration of that copyright.
