As stated elsewhere, this is the STANDARD by which all modern media live. Advertisers are the majority of a papers income, and your subscription covers very little. Articles are written ONLY to get you buy the publication, and then run the gauntlet of ads.
They are a business, and responsible ONLY to the board members and stock holders. Allowing an artical to offend a cash customer (ie advertiser) is plain poor business.
