I'm normal and got a MacPro - so?
Those of us who like to get our work done fast will find ways to make the extra
costs back qithin the life-time of the equipment. I paid big bucks for an early
laserWriter, and added 128 Mb of RAM for $800 - then re-couped the money in
about 5 months by editing and proofing 5 books. And the LaserWriter is still
working 9 years later. Cheap at twice the price, sez I. I expect my MacPro will pay
for itself this year. And I get a great deal of fun working with it, since it makes
some formerly impossible things do-able. I really wish it had a new-style case -
Apple has good designers and the G%-style case is slick - but it IS a G5-style case
and ... well, I just want something 'newer' for my desktop.
