Your Reality is NOT true
The H1-b program is NOT and isn't even close to being an IMMIGRATION program. It is a Guest Work program and it's highly abused by mainly Indian Outsourcing firms.

To lump the H1-b program in with all other immigration is being disingenuous. Immigrants come here to make a life in the US. They add to culture and become the grass roots to build on in the USA. Very few of those in the H1-b program become US citizens. In fact, those that want to be citizens are given the most hurdles to become citizens and are given the lowest priority. You transfer to another job, you go to the end of the line for a greencard.

The one thing that hasn?t been address and should is that true IMMIGRANTS should be given priority and the fewest hurdles.

But instead, the program is mainly used by outsourcers to send low-skilled programmers to learn the applications, systems, and access to the source code, then take that knowledge back and along with the source code back to India to outsource the applications.

Last year, Wipro applied for almost 20,000 H1-b applications, and 69 greencards, for a ratio of .4%
