You can't make laws against stupidity

They just don't work.

Look at the problem. Kids running freely unsupervised on the internet. Now would these same parents just drop thier kids off for an afternoon roaming city center of LA a false ID? That's basically the same thing they are doing by not watching what thier kids are doing on the net.

THE INTERNET IS NOT A BABY SITTER. It's just like the streets and you will come across the undesirables. To avoid those undisirables in the real world we avoid areas where gang activity, protitution and drug dealing is high. But you blindly wander into those areas on the net and you expect you kids not be curious when it happens to them?

This stupid parents not taking responsiblity for raising thier kids.
