What monetary damages is Viacom claiming in their suit?
Thinking about this more--MoveOn uses films like this to raise money. Why can't they just make up some arbitrary figure and say that was the money that would have been raised by the video if it had been online?

Isn't Viacom doing the exact same thing in their suit? Claiming that the videos they own that were shown on YouTube caused them losses where they've arbitrarily made up a dollar figure?

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
