hmm
The point of the post was not to say that Macs are better or worse. But I guess even non-zealots are always looking to start that conversation.

I did say that I had always been a supporter of Microsoft and have always followed the upgrade path for Office. I don't like the new Office, my wife doesn't like the new Office and my company will not switch until forced to do so. So I'm not following headlines, I'm stating personal preference that's all.

Vista has fallen far short of XP sales or Win2K sales or even 95 sales in it's first few months - apart from where the upgrade was forced as in on new PC's.

I didn't say MS had failed because they weren't #1 in search. The point of my post was to say that MS seem to be having to work for their position for the first time in a long time. Not to say they failed because they weren't first.

As you said, people are eager to misread statements because it's something they really want to read.

And to the first sensible thing you said, I think you're right in that my switch to Mac has made me see things differently. And if that is the case, I was seeing the world through M$ coloured glasses for a long time. So is that the way all the M$ followers are seeing the world? A long time friend and Linux fanatic told me that a long time ago, and it seems he was right.
