1. Microsoft's cash cows are mostly Windows and Office. Period. Everything else is pretty marginal. Lump the two above and call the "microsoft desktop", and there you have it. A one trick pony.

2. Google is doing fantastically well. Their growth has been meteoric. Why would Microsoft - a competitor - to Google, give them the heads-up as to what they are doing wrong???
Answer: they wouldn't.

Steve Ballmer is showing weakness, and talking BS.

Vista isn't selling well. The public perception is that it's fat and slow (perception following reality in my view), and it's hugely expensive. Office 2003. Wonderful, a reworked GUI. But have they fixed sections and the relevant numbering? I doubt it.
(It was broken after Word2).
