Wind power killing birds
The is no evidence of windmills killing birds in any kind of number (occasionally a bird runs into a windmill, but this can happen with any building and isn't specific to windmills).

The security and waste issue with nuclear power is a serious issue - although newer technology and plants designs are improving upon both of these issues. However, nuclear fuel is not a renewable resource and is actually pretty limited.
