There are numerous case where ODF is making inroads. Those making these changes are usually doing it quietly so as not to anger MS whom they still depend upon for other products. It is only these high profile cases that get noticed. In the end ODF and other open formats are likely to take over in those spaces that MS simply has no way to control and the point will eventually come where the tail will wag the dog. It is just a matter of time. Much time, no doubt, but time.
