This is rapidly becoming a bandwagon ...
that will drive MS to fully support ODF. And once that happens the corporate world will move with greater momentum in that direction as well. Which then will open up the door for OpenOffice, StarOffice, WordPerfect and all the rest. The ultimate winner will be the consumer as they will have the ability to move documents freely between application and OS platforms. And MS will finally simply have to submit enhancements to the ODF organization where they will in essence be made available to the industry as a whole. This whole process represents the first salvo in the battle to open the formats and it won't end with document formats. Open document formats are just the forerunner of open graphics and multimedia formats.
