hypocrisy...
Depends, he wanted to make money and sell is iPod and the only way to sell the MUSIC industry was to provide content protection. That doesnt he believed in it, if fact I don't think Apple did, thats why there was just an easy way to circumvent it. So I don't think he is a hypocrite, just very shrewd as business person.
