Record companies still don't get it
Of course digital downloads won't make up the difference for the loss of CD sales. They were charging $18 for a CD that had 1 or 2 good songs on it. Now they are getting $0.99 for each of those 1 or 2 good songs. That is 9 to 18 times less revenue per CD. That isn't coming back, EVER! Record companies can blame digital downloads because they are a BIG contributor to their demise. But it doesn?t make sense to blame iTunes or Steve Jobs because there was no stopping it. Record companies better just accept the new status quo and get on board or fall even further behind.
