Steve Jobs' 180 is nothing more then a slick move to keep other companies from making money from online content: iTunes has 60% of the market, if everyone drops DRM, and all providers lose a pecentage of business due to it, itunes could survive, but some of the other providers may not.

and once they're gone, where are you going to be able to download music from?

Well, iTunes, of course, as they're still around.
