And you have some misconceptions about patents also. Patents are about 500 years old from the UK. Hardly a social experiment. Actually the growth of IP was strongest when corporations didn't exist. Inventors need a return on their creative investment or in the future, R&D will be too expensive. What you are seeing now are corporations taking over and those entities can wreck any good thing. As for your other post about determining what is a fair settlement on return, nope. I believe the patent should die with the inventor and rewrite corporate law on how they operate. Remember if you penalize the inventor, you also penalize the small time inventor also. The problem lies with corporations on how they operate. With your system, you would make it easier for corporations to plunder IP from the small fry.
