Surely both parties benefit equally - Google doen't show more than a taster of the article and a click through; without Google and Yahoo, the newspaper would be largely unknown on the web.

Both benefit equally from the relationship, whether formal or informal.

It is little different to current affairs TV programs showing the front page and quoting from the paper.
