It still wouldn't matter...
He would still be charged with the b&e at minimum(not sure if the terminology or crime is ranked differently in regards to banks) and it wouldn't matter if he were leaving millions in gold at each bank, he'd still face criminal charges, I'm guessing it may involve state and federal charges.
