OO Programming
Clearly you don't understand the objective of OO programming, nor do you understand the nature of programming by information hiding. Keeping the basic tenants of loose coupling in mind, you will not have to worry about changes made later. The idea of inheritence is to keep one from going back and changing the code in the parent objects, only adding code via decending from them. If you have to change ancestors you are doing it wrong in the first place. Also code bloat with hard drives in the tens of gig range isn't a real problem nor is speed with processors running in multi-gigahertz speeds. Over all if you do it right, the coding is much easier as you have broken it down into descrete parts which cnd be handled independently. The main problem I see with the current methods is too much dependence on inheritence and not enough on run-time methods of object composition.
