Depends which one's you buy
I've bought some that produce light that is, as far as can tell, the same as my old bulbs. I do have some of the first bulbs I bought that produce that bright white lite you describe. Waiting for them to die to replace them with the newer light bulbs. Been 4 years now and they just don't burn out.
