Give me a break.
Give me a break with the liberal media. It's neither liberal nor conservative just incompetant. The fact is that this administration was told what was going to happen and did NOTHING.. absolutely nothing. Has nothing to do with media nor anything else.

Point 2. The govt' is not crippled by the laws. Do you really believe that wiretaps and such can't exist with the FISA laws? Give me a break. The agency doing the tap has 72 hours AFTER the tap begins to get the warrant. AND, since the FISA laws were enacted they've only turned down 4 requests out of I believe 12,000.

Point 3. I'm not asking the govt. to turn a blind eye. I'm asking them to obey the laws and the constitution that they've sworn to uphold. I'm also asking them to tell the truth, and to not send our children to war unnecessarily.

Point 4. It's a small sacrifice. The point is that it is ILLEGAL without a warrant. It's got nothing to do with sacrifice's. What's the next small sacrificie you're willing to endure? Your personal mail being read? Monitoring your every move? What you buy at the local grocery store? History shows that once you allow one sacrifice, others follow.

Point 5. Will we really keep the gov't in check? I don't believe so. Seriously, look at all the illegal activities that this administration has purpotrated in the name of "our safety". What have the american people done? Nothing, other than to vote democrats in the last election who I honestly feel are no better than the republicans that were voted out. Unfortunately, I believe the average American is more concerned about keeping his family fed and fit than what is really going on in Washington. I can't blame him for that, but it still is unfortunate.

Point 6. I agree that the American Way requires protection and I am all for protecting my country. However, the constitution has stood strong for some 225 years, through many wars and desperate times without a need to destroy it as this administration is doing. And this country CAN protect itself without a need to destroy it now. We have the ability, the manpower, and the laws in place to do so. We don't need to destroy all that for our protection, although the Rush Limbaugh's and the Sean Hannity's of the airwaves would have you believe otherwise.
