They are rationaing. They are rationing
jobs.

Those who are unable to get will either rot in the street like good boys and girls, do something to get thrown into jail (by then it'll be deemed that prisoners should serve in the military grin ), or volunteer because, after all, we've been told by countless politicians that under their watch there shall be no draft.

Pity. One would think, due to the Iraq debacle, they'd be interested in strategists instead of cheap and plentiful cannon fodder... oh well.

In seriousness, however, what is wrong with rationing? It has been done in the past. Why isn't it this time? The same can be said for taxes; in the past they never went down during a time of war either.

Yes, we are at war for our existence. We are dependent on oil. And a lot of other things. And offshoring will only assure we have plentiful amounts of troops volunteering. It's quite a conundrum... But I've been wrong before... But one thing only a fool would be wrong on: An Islamic extremist can be talked to in a civilized manner. Having a death threat against myself once made by a person who happened to be a devout believer in Islam, I am compelled to admit I have my own bias against their 'religion'. What bothers me is, why haven't more of their nutjobs done anything else in America since 9/11? Is our security that effective, what with the media gleefully pointing out all the time all the little cracks and loopholes people can use? (Or to make a bad joke, do they own corporations, determined to wreck our economy from within? grin )
