incorrect assumption, unclear?
Your post was not very clear so I apologize in advance if I missed anything.

"True, the salaries of the people creating and manufacturing it contribute to the high cost"

This is based on an assumption that is incorrect. Study the economics of the media industries. Pricing is all within fixed ranges based on what the local markets will support and is not tied to individual salaries or production costs of each movie/disk. The profit margin in the media industry is very high except small artists and independent media which get screwed under the current system. I don't work in the media industries directly, so my salary is not even an issue, another assumption.


I have read the definition steal/stolen many times and find that it supports my point or else I would not have made it.

Questions: How long has the idea that this is stealing been around? Where did that idea start? Why? Who supports that idea and who opposes it and why? Asking a few critical questions could lead to some really enlightening answers...best of luck.
