Simple Economics
The movies industry has it way different than the music industry. The mail order movies memberships are very cheap, less than the $13+ dollars to download. I use Blockbuster for ($19/month/3 at a time/unlimited). If there is a movie that I decide I really want for keeps. I can find it used for $4-$7. Now this is the totally legal way. This is simple; price the product high and people say they make enough anyway. Price the product low and people say I can afford that and purchase. The demand for a movie rental is tanked after a few months. Some where between 4-6 months after the movie was release on DVD it should be available for download for a healthy profit to the movie companies. This price should be in the $2-$4 range less than the cost to buy used or rent. Its there choice, false greed or smart simple economics.
